The issue of Application for the Tamilnadu Special Police Youth Brigade ( TSPYB ) has been started. The aspirants can get the applications from the respective commissioner offices (Cities) or SP Offices(Districts) .
Duties of TSPYB
The Tamil Nadu Special Police Youth Brigade (TSPYB) would assist the police in various activities such as
Total number of recruitment to TSPYB
Chief Minister has announced there will be 50,000 police personnel vacancy in the following three years based on the requirement.
For the year 2012, total number of 10,000 persons would be recruited for the youth police brigade.
For the year 2013-2014 there will be 15,000 recruitment.
Depending on the requirement the number will be raised to 50,000 after 2014.
Selection Procedure of TSPYB
Tamilnadu Special Police Youth Brigade selection method as follows. The selection for TSPYB will be made by the Superintendent of Police (SP) of the districts. For example kanyakumari District selection will be fully conducted by the SP of Kanyakumari District.
Training & Postings of TSPYB
The candidates who successfully completed a year’s training in the youth brigade would be absorbed in the police department. They will be posted in their own district.
When TSPYB candidates become regular Police ?
As Every year, a particular percentage of vacancies in the department would be filled through TSPYB candidates and the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board would conduct recruitment.
Unsuccessful candidates who reached the age of 40 would be given some other employment opportunities.
Salary and benefits for TSPYB
The candidates selected for the brigade would get a monthly honorarium of Rs. 7,500 and could avail of the canteen facilities available to police personnel. Besides, they would be entitled to rice, wheat, sugar, atta and dhall at subsidised rates.
Qualification and age limit for TSPYB
Basic educational qualification is S.S.L.C.
The age limit is between 18 and 30.
